Recently I photographed James Gorman, the CEO of Morgan Stanley for the SundayBusiness cover of the New York Times. Check it out, pretty interesting read - http://nyti.ms/1mqJMHw .
After scouting the location I realized I’ve been there before. And it all came back to me - about 4 years ago shortly after moving to New York I worked as a photo assistant to a photographer Ben Baker. It wasn’t easy to work with Ben, fast paced and always 10-15 minutes with a subject, slightly stressful for assistants but always on top of the game. But I realized that the shoots like that back in my assisting years made me able to pull off 3-4 locations within 5 minutes calmly now as a photographer.
Irish band Kid Karate visited Brooklyn the other day. I was very happy to have them in front of my camera.
Screenwriter and director Paul Haggis for the New York Times. Looking forward to seeing his New Film The Third Person that premieres on June 20.
